Exploding Emotions

I found the movie “Pollock” in the $5 bin a while back. Have watched it several times. Something just draws me back to it over and over. His was a truly difficult life. The addiction and pain are heartbreaking. But his passion – that is inspiring. His passion for his art. It is like emotion exploded all over the page. I love that.

A few weeks ago I watched the movie again. This time I painted as I watched. Straight from the tube. Large. What I felt as I watched his story unfold. This is what came out. Great art? No. But it is what I felt as I watched the pain and the joy portrayed. It is emotion on the page, and that is why I like it.

Hi Minty,

Wow, I can't believe it has been a long time since I visited your blog. :(
Remember me, I did the Carton in the Box with you! That was fun.
I don't know what you felt when you were painting this but I love it!
Hugs and hope you visit my blog soon and please leave a comment.
